‘Breaking the Ice: Politics of Christian Zionism’ is based on the current realities of Indian Christianity. The first part of the book is about the apathy of the church and Christians in matters of current issues in the society. God can be helpful to resolve our problem only if we humans take initiatives to resolve it. We cannot leave all the human-made problems in God’s hands and pray to him/her to sort it out. The second part of this book deals with the latest discussions related to the current State of Israel and the statehood of Palestine. The majority of Indian Christians are carried away by a colonial understanding of Christianity and Zionist manoeuvrings at the surface level. Christians in India, in general, do not differentiate between Biblical Israel and modern Israel. We must discern that are not against Jews, we are not against Judaism, and we are not against the State of Israel, but we are calling for aggressive Zionist war-loving geo-politics in the Middle East in the name of the Bible to be halted!
