Madhusudan Bandi

Madhusudan Bandi is trained in the discipline of Political Science with specialisation in Development Studies. He holds PhD and MPhil degrees in addition to a Degree in Law. Presently, he is an Assistant Professor with the Gujarat Institute of Development Research, Ahmedabad. He has been a recipient of the Split-Site Commonwealth Scholarship (Association of Commonwealth Universities and the British Council) London, UK, and the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) Institutional Doctoral Fellowship for his PhD, and completed his course work of one year at the School of Development Studies, University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK. His PhD degree was awarded by the BR Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad, Telangana, India through the Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS), Hyderabad. His academic experience comprises research and teaching. His research interests include decentralisation, development concerns of the underprivileged and marginalised in India, participatory forest management, Forest Rights Act and current affairs. He has to his credit publications in professional journals and edited volumes.
