Description
The volume, ‘Christ, Culture and Communication’ is the serious work of a gifted contemporary missiological scholar. This volume displays many excellences, not the least of which is a broad holistic, culturally relevant and Christ centered approach to the issues raised by the interface of cross cultural communication and mission. Rev. Dr. J.N. Manokaran combines both his theological wisdom and his cross cultural missionary experience. This book will prove a trustworthy guide for those seeking the best way to communicate the gospel meaningfully from one culture to another culture. It will also stimulate mission thinkers to a new way of communicating the gospel. I highly recommend this volume to all who are seriously struggling to think critically towards the way of biblical based communication principles.

The writings of Dr. J.N. Manokaran in the last two decades has been a great and significant contributions in Indian missions. I have witnessed the impact of his books with many of his readers and personally using some of his books in my teaching and preaching ministry. ‘Christ, Culture and Communication’, is a timely book for those engaged in missions. Written with strong biblical foundation, missiological focus and experiences from Indian perspective is a good addition to mission studies. Missionaries, missiologists, and leaders have a new book as their resource. New thoughts like aspirational contextualization will bring fresh inputs to mission studies as a whole. Redemption analogies from Indian context is a great addition. His fresh thoughts and ideas will certainly give impetus for global missions.
