Rt. Rev. Dr. G. Devakadasham, born to Mr. N. Gnanasigamony and Mrs. V. Charlet, in 1951, Thottavaram, Kanyakumari District. Graduated from Christian College, Marthandam. Had the theological training at Leonard Theological College, Jabalpur, securing B. D. Degree, and Master’s Degree [M.Th.] from the United Theological College, Bangalore. Spent a year in Union Theological Seminary, Richmond, Virginia, as a special student. The Senate of Serampore College, awarded the honoris causa [D.D.] in 2013, in recognition of the contribution to the Church.
